Organizational Structure and Task Briefings

• The Organizational structure

  　The Office has a director, who serves concurrently as the military spokesman and a deputy director. There are three task sections:

  • Domestic News Section: Responsible for all the affairs such as the news releases, coordination, management and media invitations.
  • International News Section: Responsible for the invitations and receptions of the foreign media as well as the translation and collection of the foreign information or reports regarding the ROC Armed Forces.
  • Administration Section: Responsible for the operations of the news transmission, information files and implementation of the press conferences.

• Establishment of Spokesperson System

　The MND has authorized units above the army corps level dispatch specific personnel to act as military spokesperson to handle the affairs such as the news releases, inquiries from the public and media invitations. In case of any major contingencies or events over one branch, the news is in charge by the Headquarters or the Ministry of National Defense.
