The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated today (17th) that a total of 21 aircraft sorties (including five sorties crossing the median line of the Strait and extending to the south-west airspace) and five CCP vessel sorties were detected at 17:00. It was confirmed that they continued to carry out maneuvers over the sea and airspace of the Taiwan Strait. The Armed Forces shall adopt mission aircraft, vessels, and shore-based missile systems to closely monitor the situation and respond accordingly.
