In response to foreign media reports that Ukraine had received 60mm mortars from Taiwan, the Ministry of National Defense (MND) has explained that the batch numbers of the ammunition in the photos uploaded to the internet are different to those of the Armed Forces, and explicitly refutes the claims in the media reports.

The MND emphasizes that our government, based on the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance among democratic countries, would support and sustain the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and oppose any actions that unilaterally change the status quo by force or adopt the use of violence against the Ukrainian people. Regarding military donations, the MND follows foreign policy of the country and works with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As such, the claims in the media are purely speculative and untrue.
