July 3, 2022 at 13:10
Regarding the supervision and operation of reserve forces after re-assignment to the Army, Army Command elaborated as follows today (3rd):
1. To manage command and management needs of ground forces for defense operations to attain the consistent goal of standing and reserve forces, as well as realize the integration of mobilization, management, and training, the Ministry of National Defense (MND) has made the Army responsible for the coordinated employment of mobilization forces. After Reserve Command was re-assigned to the Army, its grouping and organization remains under the All-out Defense Mobilization Agency (AODMA), in adherence to the law. Furthermore, another mobilization military supervisory unit is appointed to be responsible for training reserve troops, helping to integrate the mobilization forces of the military and civilians to ensure the unified authority of office and reserve mobilization mechanism.
Regarding the supervisory (direction), and management powers and responsibilities of the Army and Reserve Command, the Army will establish supervision and operation procedures for troop personnel, combat readiness, training, logistical preparation and other tasks. Once the authorities and responsibilities are duly classified and assigned, they will conduct trials operations every six months so necessary changes can be made.
Army Command has stated that the threat of the enemy has increased significantly and considering the drastic changes of regional security, the Armed Forces should continue to improve, adjust its defense mechanisms, such as reserve mobilization, with the hope of exerting its overall combat power. Command therefore calls on all nationals to continue supporting these efforts.
