In response to an online media report that there was a "wrestling brawl of arms dealers", the MND wholeheartedly refutes the report and stated today (22nd) that it is not true. The MND clarifies as follows:
1. The core mission of the Armed Forces is to build up armaments, prepare for war, protect the country and defend the people. As such, these tasks include the construction of indigenous submarines and other important military build-up projects. At present, these projects are implemented following procedure and are running smoothly and on time. No such incident as a "wrestling brawl" has occurred.
2. Both the MND and the National Security Council have collaborated to achieve the joint objectives of strengthening national and national security. There is no so-called "Supreme Ministry of National of Defense".
3. Media outlets are urged to conduct due diligence and check facts before publishing reports and ensure information published is true and accurate so as not to mislead the public.
