The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated today (4th) that a staff of the contractor stationed at the site who lived with the family tested positive by PCR testing. After being tested with other office staff, three other members also tested positive, and all of them have now been admitted to the quarantine facility for isolation.
The MND further stated that, after receiving the notification, it immediately activated the contingency mechanism and expanded PCR testing to 126 other listed contacts. As shown from the results, only one member tested positive, while the rest tested negative. Right now, both the positive tests and close contacts have been quarantined for isolation.
he MND emphasized that it will carry out various epidemic prevention efforts with a most rigorous attitude and various epidemic prevention actions based the guidance of the "Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).” Currently, the barrack has been cleaned and disinfected on a large scale. To expand the listed contacts, quick screening will be implemented once every two days, and servicemen can only be allowed to return to the barrack after testing negative with PCR. Furthermore, such measures as diversion and separation for work have been started concurrently to ensure that war training tasks will not be affected and various missions can still be performed effectively.
