The Ministry of National Defense (MND) held one of its regular online press conferences today on the "Squad Recruitment of the Armed Force of the Republic of China, 2021". Major General Wang Chih-hui, Director of the Talent Development Division of the Personnel Office, conducted a briefing regarding squad recruitment of the Armed Forces for the year 2021.

The Recruitment Squads of the Armed Forces for the year 2021 are divided into 10 squads of three categories – officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers – with a total of 20,703 servicemen planned to be recruited.

1.The officer squad consists of seven classes, including regular classes in the military academy, the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) of the university, standing flight officers, two-year technical officers, professional officers, the national defense bachelor class, and the junior high and senior high session of the Chung-Cheng Armed Forces Preparatory School. It plans to recruit 4,197 members overall.

2.The non-commissioned officer squad consists of two squads – the two-year special non-commissioned officer squad and the professional non-commissioned officer squad. It plans to recruit 2,205 members.

3.The soldier squad plans to recruit 14,221 members.
