In response to the media report that "two US F-18 were rumored to have flown over Taipei on the network," the Air Force Command solemnly refuted said report today (23) and indicated that the news report was false. The Command further urged the outside world not to transmit false stories to avoid misleading the general public.

The Air Force Command emphasized that it has made use of joint intelligence, surveillance, and investigation with regard to the sea and airspace conditions around the Taiwan Strait, so that both the waters and air are placed under strict control and close monitoring. As such, the Command can always appropriately deal with any situation and calls on our residents to rest assured.
