The Ministry of National Defense issues a press release to clarify online news of the "Manchu Han imperial pineapple feast for the Armed Forces" (March 3, 2021)

In response to online news of the "Manchu Han imperial pineapple feast for the Armed Forces", the Ministry of National Defense (MND) has strictly refuted this as false today (3rd). The MND carefully checked and verified with its various units of the Armed Forces, and it is indeed confirmed that there has never been such a menu. The MND also appeals to civilians not to credulously believe and disseminate such information as its disturbs and confuses public understanding.
The MND points out that the supply station of non-staple foods for the Armed Forces provides seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables every day, and all units can purchase these necessities depending on their needs and according to normal operation procedures keeping in mind the health and wellbeing of officers and soldiers. However, the MND did not order troops to only purchase one single item of fruit such as a pineapple. If government departments put forth any related policies, the MDN will address them and encourage all under the Armed Forces to carry out timely purchases so that farmers in the country benefit economically.
The MND stresses that some people with poor intentions have made use of online media to disseminate false messages in an attempt to interfere with the operations of government departments and create social chaos. This is most inappropriate. The MND hereby clarifies and severely condemns such actions.
