In response to the media coverage on the expected failure to deliver the first warplane of F-16 C/D in 2023 as the electronic warfare (EW) system has not been finalized for the 66 jets procured, the Air Force Command Headquarters officially rejected the report today on the 21st, stating that the procurement of the new aircraft F-16V (BLK-70) is now being fulfilled as planned and will be on scheduled track for delivery.
The Headquarters added that the US is currently conducting evaluation of cost and functionality of the EW system for the aircraft. All items in compliance with those listed in the category of the New Warplane Procurement Act and its Budget will be procured by the ROC Air Force. Speculation is not advised from the media.
